Saturday Roundup: Maker Faire San Mateo 2015

Iconic costume of the weekend. Most of the folks walking around Maker Faire would usually be staring at a screen. Even though many of them were anyway, one could tell that the Faire was so stimulating, that people weren't doing it out of boredom.

Since most of Maker Faire is visual, a fair amount tactile, and I figured out quickly where the best flavors and aromas were (around the food trucks, particularly Chairman Bao), I started wondering where all the audiophiles were. I found them. Here's just one of them.

3D Toys everywhere.

Gigantic hall of geeks and nerds. My high school buddies would fit right in.

Chaotic pile o' Legos.

Lego Train nerds.

NASA's got a lot of competition for the best and the brightest here.

Maker Faire fashion? Everything goes.

Battle Bots is filming in Vallejo.

Fun marching band. Not Minor Mishap, but still quite a blast.

Fab dresses.

Origami robots!

Finally a walker that's rather revolutionary. You can go hands free with this.
