D'yer Mak'er? Maker Faire San Mateo 2015, pt. 1.

Maker Fair attendee wearing Zeppelin earring.

Hardly anyone there when we arrived early this morning. Supposed to draw around 130K for the whole weekend.

On the left are Robin's latest design: Morels for a tea towel.

Fellow Vallejan Katie gets ready to sell her fine hats.

Preceding three shots of some of the other vendors near us.

Organs on flame with rock and roll signals the opening and closing of Maker Faire. Sorta like Rammstein meets Sonny Sharrock on synth.

One really cool thing (among many) is the presence of an alternative economic model (Swap-O-Rama).

Robin & I were just speculating about riffing on LGBT and BLT.

The #1 hard science presence at Maker Faire? 3D Printing.

And more 3D printing. Robin made the good point that this is all very much like the beginning of PCs when the technology was so iffy and new and user unfriendly.

Bloody incredible first meal. Bao with Grilled Pork Belly & Daikon. From the Chairman Bao food truck, NE of Zone 10.
