Jackson, CA

Two shots of downtown Jackson, CA.

Robin's family friends live here. Once the family home of an Italian immigrant family who operated the General Store next door which provided supplies for the folks working the Kennedy Gold Mine across the street. The place looks idyllic now, especially thanks to all the recent rains, but many gold mining operations in the Sierra foothills were responsible for major environmental disasters, especially near the Yuba River.

A shot of the side of the General Store (now some sort of Antique shop).

Previous two: more shots of the General store.

 Really old cherry tree.

Shot down the street from the front yard. In the distance, one can see the neighborhood authentic Italian restaurant. The menu out front looks compelling, and it has an illustration of something folks from here associate with Amador County: a drawing of a basket jug of wine.
