Amador County

One of the waterwheels (of a series of them, the others no longer standing), used 150 years ago for transporting the "tailings" from the Kennedy Gold Mine operation near Jackson, CA. These were set up to transport water, mud & stones away from the mines.

On the highway close to the Amador/Sacramento County border.
 Downtown Jackson, CA.

First photo is of a structure falling apart, possibly an old stable associated with the Kennedy Gold Mine. The second photo includes a group of large boulders around what I think is the entrance to the Kennedy Gold Mine.

Sutter Creek, CA.

I think these last two are from Amador City, CA (or else Sutter Creek).
